Location-Los Angeles, CA Duration-2+ weeks Start Date-Tuesday 5/31 Rate-DOE Required Experience, Skills, Education, Certifications: o Experience monitoring, troubleshooting issues on the network o Experience performing on-site network troubleshooting o Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills o Cisco or equivalent network experience with router and switch configurations o Familiarity with troubleshooting networking equipment and TCP/IP o Able to log, update, and record actuate and detailed tracking records o Ability to work closely with others in a team environment o Experience troubleshooting wireless router connections o DHCP/DNS configuration experience Position Objective: o This position covers a broad scope of technologies such as Password resets, Microsoft Windows issues or questions, assistance with email software such as Outlook or assistance with Microsoft Office Position Summary: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide exceptional, friendly customer service to resolve computer issues in person, by email and on the phone. Record, track, and document the help desk request and problem-solving activities, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution. Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources on the Internet to aid in problem resolution. Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization. Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups and configuring systems and applications. Perform preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning of workstations, laptops, printers, and peripherals. Perform post-resolution follow-ups to help requests. Perform support and maintenance activities for physical and virtual servers, including backups and restorations, applying updates and patches, and resolving event log errors and warnings.
